Chaos Controlled(ish)

Kev and I  joke that we live in a constant state of chaos. With two FOUR YEAR OLD DIVAS, I wouldn't expect anything less. Add in swim lessons, ballet, room mom responsibilities, a wild MUPPET dog, plus working with clients - it is MAYHEM. But honestly, I've learned to THRIVE in the midst of chaos... and my weekly planning has a lot to do with that.

On Sundays, I make a master plan for the week - meal plans, groceries, workouts, schedules and more. I find when I have the plan, I hit my goals. When I don't have a plan, well....

Here are five ways I set myself up for success in the week ahead:

1. BREAK OUT YOUR CALENDAR:

Make note of which days are going to be hectic. Which days will you need a quick meal? Can you plan out your workout times in advance? Ink them out - treat those sweat sessions like any other apt you would not miss.

2. TAKE INVENTORY:

What’s in the fridge? What’s in the freezer? What’s in the pantry? Write it down because you’ll use it for the next step!

3. MEAL PLAN, LIST IT OUT & SHOP:

Using what’s in your inventory list FIRST, make a meal plan for the week. Choose at LEAST two easy meals (think rotisserie chicken, frozen veggies). Use that meal plan to make your grocery list - and then order those groceries online for pickup/delivery.

4. DO WHAT YOU CAN IN ADVANCE:

Look over your meal plan. Is there something easy that can be done in advance? Can you hard boil eggs? Can you roast some veggies? How about grill some chicken? Do what you can NOW to make it easier later in the week.

5. SET YOUR INTENTIONS:

Look back at the week before. What didn’t get accomplished? What held you back? What can you change to make it happen in the week ahead? What are three non-negotiable that you WILL commit to making happen? WRITE IT DOWN. Share it with a friend. Share it BELOW. Accountability is key.

These five tips can really help you to focus on your health, your productivity, and will allow for a less stressful week ahead.

Do you already implement some of these? Tell me in the comments below.
